Soto hits home run against Phillies
1:05 start for a Wednesday day game against Phillies; much better weather than evening before. Third game attended this year; first victory. Attended with Phil (who does not cheer for the Phillies, ha) from work.
Sat in new season plan seats, section 315. Nice view of home plate as well as entire field looking out. It appears these seats will always be in the shade.
The Nats had a good lead but then allowed the Phillies to tie the game in the top of the 8th inning, 8-8. Happily (for a Nats fan) the high-priced closer-type Phillies pitcher Robertson was terrible, filled the bases, then walked a guy who was having his first major league at-bat, scoring the winning walk off run (that was a walk, which is unusual). The Nats promptly sent the heroic player Noll back to the minor leagues (which was expected). The Phillies showed they can hit, but they have a few holes and problems - they committed three errors, for example.
